The 30th Annual Ridge Meadows Rivers Day event is on September 24, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. hosted by the Alouette River Management Society. This event celebrates BC Rivers Day and World Rivers Day which is held on the 4th Sunday in September every year. This year’s event promises to be filled with lots of fun and interactive environmental displays, live music, face painting, carnival games and live northern spotted owls on site!
Festival attendees will be welcomed to the event by Katzie First Nation, whose territory the event will take place in along with other local VIP’s. The public will be entertained by The Wilds – Holly Arntzen & Kevin Wright, Lisa Rae Simons, Click & Clown, the TaaDaa Lady with the Nylon Zoo as well as local author Tiffany Stone with stories with snakes. Other attractions include an aquatic invertebrate touch pool station, a barbeque lunch by donation made possible by the Maple Ridge Lions Club, over 25 interactive displays from local environmental groups, door prizes, children’s craft & activity station and carnival games!

Ridge Meadows Rivers Day provides a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the Alouette Watershed and its importance within the community.
