Nature Detectives

Tuesday, January 28th

Break out your inner detective and join us for a fun day filled with footprint crafts, games, nature hikes, wildlife observation, and plant identification.

Fantastic Flora & Fauna

Friday, February 14th

Join us for a fun-filled day of nature exploration. Participants will get the opportunity to learn how identify local flora and fauna, learn about medicinal plants and engage in games and craft activities. This camp offers a unique and enriching experience for young nature enthusiasts

What does a Pro-D Day Camp look like at ARMS? Here is an example schedule:

  • 9:30am – Arrival and welcome, campers meet their counsellor for the day
  • 10:00am – Group games and icebreakers
  • 10:30am – Activity #1: Forest Walk
  • 11:45am – Lunch at Rivers Heritage Centre
  • 12:30pm – Activity #2: Enviroscape Demonstration
  • 1:30pm – Activity #3: Hatchery Tour
  • 1:50pm – Closing activities
  • 2:00pm – Campers are being picked up

Pro-D Day Camp Details:

Time: 9:30am-2:00pm

Cost: $50.00 per child

Location: Geoff Clayton Rivers Heritage Centre, 24959 Alouette Road, Maple Ridge

Age Range: 5-12 years old

Our Pro-D Day camps are full of educational and engaging activities that take place indoors and outdoors. Depending on the season we curate the Pro-D Day camps to fit the time of year while providing exciting adventures for your child to join in.

  • Salmon and their life cycle
  • Wildlife
  • Insects
  • Pollinators
  • Native Plants
  • The environment
  • Invertebrates
  • Water cycle
  • and much more!

Reminders

Please pack a nut free lunch and snacks, bottle of water and have weather appropriate clothes for your child. A welcome email, along with the registration form will be sent one-week prior. For the safety of your child, a Parent/Guardian Consent form must be completed, Children will not be permitted in the program until the completed form is received.
