A huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather to join our Maple Ridge Adopt-a-Block cleanup along Kanaka Way this past weekend. Your dedication turned a soggy morning into an incredible success!

Your hard work helps keep our community clean, healthy, and beautiful! Every piece of litter picked up protects local wildlife, waterways, and neighbourhood spaces. Hope to see you at the next event! 🌿✨
🐟💙 Next Tuesday is #GivingTuesday (Dec 2nd), 🐟💙 Next Tuesday is #GivingTuesday (Dec 2nd), a global day of giving, celebrated every year after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. 🌎It’s a day to give back, support causes you care about, and make a difference in your community, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word.
This year, we invite you to give back to the Alouette Watershed and help protect the place we all call home. Every dollar you donate helps restore the Alouette River, protect salmon habitat, and educate the next generation of watershed stewards. Make a lasting impact, because healthy rivers mean strong salmon.

As of March 31, 2026, proposed budget changes may As of March 31, 2026, proposed budget changes may result in significant funding cuts from Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). These cuts threaten vital resources for on-the-ground salmon restoration projects in the Alouette Watershed, and in other watersheds around the province, work that has been ongoing and successful for many years. We need your voice! Please consider reaching out to your local MP and the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans to express concern about these potential funding cuts. Community advocacy is crucial to ensure that the programs restoring salmon habitat, monitoring fish populations, and supporting watershed health can continue uninterrupted. Every letter, email, or phone call counts. Together, we can protect the rivers, the salmon, and the work of our dedicated volunteers.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who braved the rain on Friday to help remove Japanese Knotweed at Trethewey Channel. Managing this invasive species is a multi-year effort, and your hard work cutting back canes is the essential first step. We’ll be returning in the spring to tackle new shoots throughout the growing season, and your dedication helps set this project up for success.
We’re truly grateful for your time, energy, and willingness to lend a hand. Thank you for making a real difference!
