Back with an Eco Tip this Tuesday: Chum and coho eggs are safely developing in the gravel, waiting for spring to emerge as tiny salmon fry.
Winter stream health is critical, clean, cool, oxygen rich water helps these little guys survive. Help protect their home by keeping streams clear and staying on designated trails this season!

🌧️ A strong storm system is impacting Maple Ridge through Wednesday, bringing 70–100+ mm of rain. The BC River Forecast Centre has upgraded the High Streamflow Advisory to a Flood Watch.

⚠️ Residents are urged to stay away from rivers, creeks, and unstable banks, and avoid flooded areas.

Park access restrictions due to rising river levels and fast moving water:
🚫 Jerry Sulina Dog Park (South Alouette River) – CLOSED
⛔ Hot Rocks, Crosses Cabin Park, south end of Maple Ridge Park near water – restricted access

City crews are actively monitoring conditions and maintaining drainage systems.

Sandbags available for residents in flood-prone areas at Operations Centre (23925 Dewdney Trunk Rd). After hrs: 📞 604-463-9581

✅ Please help reduce flood risk:
• Clear debris from gutters and nearby catch basins
• Keep children close and pets on leash near fast-moving water
