Summer Eco-Camps

Each summer Alouette River Management Society presents its popular summer program series. If your child likes adventure and is eager to explore the natural world, register for Eco-Camp! Camps are hosted in ALLCO Park and the Rivers Heritage Centre. All camp bookings must be made through the City of Maple Ridge Parks and Recreation registration page: Maple Ridge Parks and Leisure under Camps – Full Week, Nature & Outdoors.   • Pixelmon Senior Ages 8-11 (Jul 6th – Jul 10th, 2026)
  • Play Quest Junior Ages 5-11 (Jul 13th – Jul 17th, 2026)
  • Pixelmon Junior Ages 5-11 (Jul 20th – Jul 24th, 2026) 
  • Play Quest Senior Ages 8-11 (Jul 27th – July 31st, 2026) 
  • Flip Flap Flop Ages 5-11 (Aug 10th – Aug 14th, 2026)
  • Get STEAM’ed Ages 8-11 (Aug 17th – Aug 21st, 2026)

What does a Summer Day Camp look like at ARMS? Here is an example schedule:

  • 9:30am – Arrival and welcome, campers meet their counsellor for the day
  • 10:00am – Group games and icebreakers
  • 10:30am – Activity #1:
  • 11:45am – Lunch at Rivers Heritage Centre
  • 12:30pm – Activity #2:
  • 1:30pm – Activity #3:
  • 1:50pm – Closing activities
  • 2:00pm – Campers are being picked up

How can I register my child for Summer Camp?

 All camp bookings must be made through the City of Maple Ridge Parks and Recreation registration page:Maple Ridge Parks and Leisure under Camps – Full Week, Nature & Outdoors. What ages are your summer camps for?

Our Summer camps are broken down into age groups. We currently host summer camps for ages 5-7 and ages 8-11.

What happens after I register my child?

You will receive a welcome email, along with the registration form that will be sent one-week prior. For the safety of your child, a Parent/Guardian Consent form must be completed, Children will not be permitted in the program until the completed form is received.

What does my child need to bring each day?

Please send your child with a backpack each day. They will need to have a full water bottle, sunscreen, lunch, snacks. Please be sure to mark your camper’s name on all their belongings to help us return lost and found items. All campers must wear close-toed shoes, as we spend a lot of time outdoors and in Allco Park, so appropriate footwear is necessary.

Who are the Camp leaders?

Meet our camp leaders!

Dan has been working as the Eco-Camp Supervisor for ARMS since 2017. Dan also works as the WildsafeBC Coordinator for Maple Ridge and is the Environmental Educator for Ridge Meadows Recycling Society. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ohio University (cum laude) with extensive experience in children’s theater. He adds fun and engaging interactions to all of his workshops!

Sara is joining ARMS for the summer season as the Education and Engagement Assistant. She is currently finishing a Masters of Forestry Degree in Environmental and Wildlife Conservation, and is incredibly passionate about protecting and learning about wildlife. Sara has experience working in summer camps, outdoor and wildlife education, and loves to find ways to share knowledge through games and hands on activities. She has previously lived in Ontario and Alberta, and is now very excited to explore the local area through her favourite pastimes: painting, hiking and camping.

Is lunch included?

Parents will be responsible for providing a bagged lunch and snacks for their camper. The Rivers Heritage Centre is a nut-free facility.

Is there public transportation to the centre?

Unfortunately there is no public transportation to the center. You will need to drop off and pick up your child for their respective camps.

Why ARMS Summer Camps?

ARMS offers Summer Eco Camps that are fun for children to take part in. From educational activities and outdoor recreation, our program provides a safety-focused, secure and supervised environment where kids can make new friends, foster independence and learn about the environment.
