Engineering in Nature!

Description:  Butterflies and solar power? Spiders and protective glass? Geckos and super climbing? Whales and wind turbines? The natural world is full of incredible engineering marvels enhanced to near perfection. Humans have the advantage of amazing technology and design that we use in our everyday lives.  Learn from nature and create your own fun engineering designs using locally-sourced, recyclable materials while building self-confidence and making new friends in a beautiful nature setting with our super-Eco camp team led by Dan Mikolay.

Price:  $180 per 1-week registration; $40 per day registration  Ages:  6 – 12 years old

Number of sessions:  5 total sessions; 1 full week registration or daily registration available

Dates: Monday March 16 – Friday March 20, 2020 Times:  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day

Location: River Heritage Centre, 24959 Alouette Road, Maple Ridge. Drive into Allco Park and follow the gravel drive for 300 metres until you come to a round cedar building.  Ample free parking for drop-off and pick-up.  Please observe speed limits on the driveway in/out.

Forest Explorers!

Description:  A fun, active, educational adventure!  Your child will have fun in nature through hands-on exploration of Allco Park, nature games, storytelling & songs, animal tracking, discovering mud, bugs, water, plants and animals, learning about wild edible plants, creative play and wild adventure!  Nothing will go unnoticed by our explorers!  Compassionate educators who encourage each child’s respect for self, others and nature in a beautiful setting by the South Alouette River led by our super-Eco camp guide Dan Mikolay.
