The 20th Annual Ridge Meadows Rivers Day is on Sunday, September 28th. The festival will have great musical entertainment including Two Tall Women, Tusket, and Gord & Trish, Dilly the Clown, Emerald Pig Society face-painting, RBC’s Leo the Lion, many environmental exhibitors, as well as the much-loved trout-fishing pond with BC Federation of Drift Fishers. Bouncy castles sponsored by Maple Ridge Adopt-A-Block, nature walks, and chickadee birdhouse building donated by DonCol Nature Products will also be available for kids and their families! BC Corrections management will host the BBQ and Maple Ridge Lions has generously donated the use of a popcorn machine with all funds raised from food sales going to our next Rivers Day event. Local MP’s and representatives from the District of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows will also be on hand to welcome the community to this fantastic day of fun and celebration of rivers!
Ridge Meadows Rivers Day is made possible by funding from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Parks & Leisure Services and BC Hydro with the Save On Foods Group donating hotdogs and buns at no cost and other supplies at cost. RE/MAX is donating the use of their stage tent and the Maple Ridge Agricultural Association is providing the event tables and tents. Silent auction items have been donated by Fraser Regional Corrections, Hatch Match’r Fly and Tackle, Grow & Gather Nursery, Amanda’s Steeped Tea, Redl Sports Group and local artist, Liz Hancock.
