Summer Camps 2023

The Alouette River Management Society is here to bring your child’s favorite games, hobbies, and characters to life. ARMS specializes in environmental education and is committed to redirecting children back to nature and outdoor play. We encourage teamwork, creativity, independence, leadership and building new friendships.

CAMP 1 – Pixelmon (Senior kids!)  

It’s Minecraft – It’s Pokemon! It’s both! Whether your child is into Minecraft or Pokemon or both they will love this fun and exciting camp filled with many activities to keep them learning, playing, and making friends. Themed activities, ecological learning, and exploration through nature! Kids will develop practical skills and confidence through guided personal-best challenges and discovery while developing a deep appreciation of the great outdoors. Our camps are led by caring and enthusiastic counsellors in a small group setting in ALLCO Park.  This is a technology-free day camp experience; no ipads, video games, trading cards or Netflix!

Dates: Monday July 17 to Friday July 21, 2023
Program time: 9:30 am – 2:00pm
Ages:  8-12 years old
Price:  $190 per 1-week registration

Location: ALLCO Park, 24959 Alouette Road, Maple Ridge. Drive into ALLCO Park and follow gravel driveway for approximately 250 metres.  Drive in through open gates. Limited free parking for drop-off and pick-up.  Please observe speed limits within the parking lot and driveway.  All activities will take place at the Rivers Heritage Centre, in ALLCO Park at two picnic shelters, open grassy field and adjoining trails within the park.

Alert:  No equipment or food will be provided. All campers must bring their own filled water bottle, nut-free lunch and snacks, hand sanitizer, and wear clothing suitable for any weather.  During hot weather, children should have sun protection, hat and sunglasses, comfortable sandals or shoes, no flip flops.  During cold wet weather, packing extra set of dry clothes for your child is recommended.  We will be outdoors for a large portion of the camp session.

CAMP 2 – Pixelmon (Junior kids!)

Are you discovering the wonderful worlds of Minecraft and Pokemon? Come join us at our Junior Pixelmon camp. Adventures, games and building challenges are instore as the campers discover new worlds and make new friends. This is a technology-free camp experience: no ipads, video games, or trading cards, just lots of fun.  Our camps are led by caring and enthusiastic counsellors in a small group setting in ALLCO Park.  This is a technology-free day camp experience; no ipads, video games, trading cards or Netflix!

Dates: Monday July 24 to Friday July 28, 2023
Program time: 9:30 am – 2:00 pm
Ages:  5-7 years old
Price:  $190 per 1-week registration

CAMP 3 – Survivor!

Learn to outwit, outsmart, outside in this active camp! Each team competes against the other in fun, thinking challenges. Learn basic outside survival skills.  This will be an active camp, so bring your energy and imagination to the outdoors while making friends and memories! Our camps are led by caring and enthusiastic counsellors in a small group setting in ALLCO Park and the Rivers Heritage Centre.  Lots of outdoor time! – This is a technology-free day camp experience; no ipads, video games, trading cards or Netflix!

Dates: Monday July 31 – Friday August 4, 2023
Program time: 9:30 am – 2:00 pm

CAMP 4 – Flip Flap Flop

Learn about all the living things that flip, flap or flop within the forests. Join us for an introduction to ecology where we will learn about functions of the forest and the creatures within it, from the buzzing bees to the fish in the streams. Kids will learn about how these creatures find food, seek shelter, and protect themselves. Discover ways we can help these creatures thrive!  Our camps are led by caring and enthusiastic counsellors in a small group setting in ALLCO Park.  This is a technology-free day camp experience; no ipads, video games, trading cards or Netflix!

 CAMP 5 – Get S.T.E.A.Med!

If you like discovery and the sciences, this is the camp for you. Each day we will explore some aspect of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math through experiments and observation. You don’t have to be a science wiz to enjoy this camp. All you need is a sense of wonder and the passion to discover.  Our camps are led by caring and enthusiastic counsellors in a small group setting in ALLCO Park.  All outdoors! – This is a technology-free day camp experience; no ipads, video games, trading cards or Netflix!
